What's the story here?have you ever heard of this happening to a road bike wheel?I bet it sounded like a shotgun!
That looks like a shitty rim to me. I would expect a mountain rim I bought to hold up to 200. No rim should be built crappy enough to not stand up to the tubeless conversion process. Hopefully that rim was damaged in crashes previously.
I can see how it may appear that way but I have only had good experiences with those rims. Also, it had a tube in it. They are well engineered but more than doubling the normal air pressure puts different forces on it then it was intended to have. This is meant to hold a mtn bike tire which normally ranges 40-65psi. Most road tires over 35mm will not hold more thn 85psi. This tire was inflated to 120psi, not to mention its a disc specific rim which means it doesnt have built up sidewalls.
That sucks. I looks to me like it was that machanics fault, he doesnt look very professional. I mean does he own a belt?
he's vegan; belts are inhumane!
and just to clarify, the customer did this at his home. he was cool though and just laughed about it.
At least his pants are zipped. I hear some vegans have a problem with that.
How come vegans leave their flies open? lose the meat?
