further evidence that FGFS is the antichrist of cycling - one more formerly great but now souless company jumping on the fixed gear bandwagon. mullet and tribal tattoo not included.
its a love/hate thing with me. I personally think this particular bike looks like another mass produced piece of generic shit. Something like a Brooklyn with some heart and originality is different. Of course, you can probably get this whole bike for the price of a Brooklyn frameset... Haro seemed like the shit when I was a kid and to see them make this is disheartening.
at mellow johnny's they had two house brand bikes that had chinese made frames, no brakes, bar spin clearance, and pake cranks just to et you know the quality of the components. They wanted almost $800
that's funny you mentioned that - my haro rep wcame by today and I asked him about it. he said that they were in fact going to make a fixed gear but was not certain if that was what it really looked like. I had also heard it was photoshopped but that doesnt mean its not real. I saw the subrosa way before they ever officially released it ya know.
Man,i know how you feel,i had a soft spot for Haros back then, and to be honest with you,i woulda bought it for nostalgia's sake, you know, what you couldnt have back when you were a kid..
i know exactly. Bob Haro was the bees knees. Bikes seemed so magical when you were a kid (still do for a lot of us). I used to want a PK Ripper sooo bad - i would have sold my little brother. I lived in japan for a while and lusted after a Kuwahara like nobodies business
