Damn, That Boy Be Skiddin'

In addition to the Sprints (see yesterday's posts) in Nashville this Saturday, there are some good kids in the 'ham hosting a biweekly skid comp starting this very Sunday the 12th! Maybe nobody will break their collarbone this time? How did that heal by-the-way? Anyhow, these are some good guys and it looks like they have their shit together with legit sponsors like Chrome and the anti-christ of LBS's, Cahaba Cycles. I'm not familiar with their other sponsors but they seem pumped and i trust their opinions. Either way, its supposed to be about the riding and i'm sure it will be a good time. Unless of course, you break your collarbone like the guy last year - that seemed more like the opposite of good time. Check out their site for frequent updates and haps.

If you're talking about Matt he's healed up good and has a 4 month old girl now. His bike on the other hand is hanging in his garage in a state of disrepair...

The video that went with that photo is horrible yet funny...

my bad. isnt it called skids? its a series? how long is the series? some guys were talking about going down but i doubt anything will come of it. i'm not much of a sprinter but if others go, i will tag along and give it a shot.

yeah its called the sunday night skid but we didnt want to call it sunday night sprint because that was the one ran by alan so we changed it to the first thing we thought of... the series is 3 meets and then prizes are awarded... so the last one is on August 9th... it happens bi-weekly

awww, i see, makes much more sense to make no sense at all. gotcha.

How about we just have a big gathering for fixed riders to meet and hang out - hippies do it all the time. then people can break off into sprinters, skiddererers, (sigh) fgfs'ers, and generally cool people? we have been toying with this riverside campground we have here (known for a huge annual bmw motorcycle rally) and a smoooooth blacktop greenway for night sprints.
